Tockwith festival 2018
A family friendly event, this year's festival is going to have something for everyone!
As usual, there will be a great selection of local beers to sample, plus a selection of wine, cider and soft drinks. Our Gin Bar will be making a re-appearance and will be located in the main tent this year.
A fabulous line up of local entertainment will entertain you throughout the day leading up to our lively festival bands in the evening. There will be a choice of food options this year so watch out for further details and tea, coffee & cakes will be for sale throughout the afternoon.
Children are welcome and we will be putting on some special children's entertainment and activities for our mini festival goers.
Tickets are only £7.50 per adult, £2.50 for children aged 6 - 17 years and children aged 5 and under are free of charge.
There will be plenty of activities to keep the kiddies entertained. Crazy tykes will be in attendance with their balloon modeler.
More info will be released shortly.
We are still waiting for confirmation but we hope to bring you the most popular food from the previous festivals. Watch this space - you won't be disappointed!
We will be kicking off the day with a selection of musicians and singers who regularly perform at local Open Mike sessions. They will provide a great backdrop to get the afternoon started.
The 'Open Mikers' will be followed by the 'Chance to Shiners'. This talented group of singers are made up of the previous winners (and hopefully the 2018 winner) of this annual competition which the Festival team run to identify, encourage and support new young musical talent within the local area. Watch out for Will Hanco, Thomo (Matt Thompson).
Confirmed to play after the Chance to Shiners is the Wetherby artist Steph Baker who will be performing folk/pop covers including songs from the 1950s to 2000s with a unique folk twist!
As the sun sets we will be welcoming our two festival bands to the stage - Loki and The Raisers who are no strangers to previous festivals so we know they will receive a warm welcome.
We'll then have bands well into the night. We will be sharing more information as we have it so make sure you follow us on Facebook
Can we also say a big festival thank you to the Tockwith Players who are helping us out this year with the staging and sound systems - we appreciate the support.
We'll let you know closer to the time. But don't worry, we have this in hand. We will have a fine selection of craft beers, the Gin bar will be back as will the The Little Yorkshire Patisserie for those that over do it.
